Andaman7 and the University Hospital from Liège(CHU-Liège) put together a very innovating project that allows patients to receive several kinds of health-related documents directly on their smartphone! It’s free upon simple request!
To have the CHU of Liège automatically send you your health data, you need to:
- Create an Andaman7 account on your mobile device.
- Request the data transfer from the CHU of Liège. Visit this page for detailed instructions: www.andaman7.com/chuliege.
You will need to provide the CHU of Liège with the email address you used for your Andaman7 account. If you're unsure of the email address you registered with, you can find it by going to the “More” tab (bottom menu in your Andaman7 app) > “My Personal Information.” Your email address will be displayed in the “Identifier” field.
Once you have been strongly authenticated* by the CHU of Liège using your identity card (either in person or via their web portal), your data will be sent to you automatically. The record should arrive within 60 minutes, but in some cases, it may take a few hours depending on the number of requests.
When you receive your record for the first time, it will appear in your list of records as an additional one. Indeed, newly imported records do not automatically merge with the main records because, in some cases, imported records may belong to another person (for example, a close relative or a child for whom you have record access rights). If the imported record from the CHU de Liège is indeed yours, you should merge it with the main record that was automatically created for you when you installed the app. This article explains how to do so: How to merge health records in Andaman7?
Once the CHU de Liège has sent the data, your app must synchronize to receive it. Synchronization occurs automatically at regular intervals (as defined in the app settings). However, you can also trigger it manually by going to the “More” tab > “Synchronization” and tapping the double arrow at the top right.
* "Strong authentication" ensures that the identity of the person receiving the data is verified.
