Your medical data is personal and sensitive, and it belongs to you alone! To ensure maximum privacy and security, Andaman7 follows a peer-to-peer (P2P) model, giving you full control over your health information.
What is a peer-to-peer (P2P) model?
A peer-to-peer model is a decentralized system where data is not permanently stored on a central server. Instead, information is stored only on your device and shared with the people you choose.
In Andaman7, this means:
- Your data is stored only on your device(s)—not in the Cloud or on any central server.
- When data is shared, it temporarily transits through our servers in an encrypted form, but we do not store or keep any of your medical data after the transfer is complete.
- The only information we retain is basic identification details needed for the app to function (e.g., your email address and device information—see our Privacy Policy).
- No central database exists where your medical records are stored, reducing the risk of breaches or unauthorized access.
This approach enhances privacy and security, ensuring your medical data stays private, protected, and under your control.
Benefits and consequences of a P2P model
- Greater Privacy – No central storage means no third party (not even Andaman7!) has access to your complete data.
- Better Security – Eliminates the risk of large-scale data breaches.
- Full Control – You decide who to share data with—no intermediaries, no hidden storage. Your data stays on your device and with those you trust.
- ⚠️ It is your responsibility to back up your data – Since your data is stored only on your device(s), you must create backups to prevent loss in case of device failure, loss, or damage.
By using a peer-to-peer model, Andaman7 ensures that your health information remains yours—private, secure, and entirely under your control.
